Azolite (Pty) Ltd was established in 1975 in Johannesburg, South Africa to produce lighting systems for the mining industry. Azolite (pty) Ltd was acquired by Proof Engineering in 2005. Gabosegangwe acquired 26% shareholding in 2005, thereby exceeding market requirements in achieving full BEE status well ahead of industry norms. This was followed by the acquisition of 50% by Rutherford Group Holdings of Australia.
