Measles virus

In developed nations, most children are immunized against measles by the age of 18 months, usually as part of a 3-half MMR vaccine (measles, mumps, and rubella). The vaccination is usually not given earlier than this because youngsters youthful than 18 months often retain anti-measles immunoglobulins (antibodies) transmitted from the mother during pregnancy.
