Melanoma symptoms

Early indicators of melanoma are changes to the form or shade of existing moles or in the case of nodular melanoma the looks of a new lump anywhere on the skin (such lesions ought to be referred immediately to a dermatologist). At later stages, the mole could itch, ulcerate or bleed. Early indicators of melanoma are summarized by the mnemonic "ABCDE":
