Castform (Japanese: ポワルン Powalen) is a Normal-type Pokémon. While it is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon, it has the ability to change forms depending on the current weather. Castform is an artificial Pokémon created by the Weather Institute in Hoenn. It was designed to help scientists predict the weather, and consequently changes its appearance (and type) when the weather changes. In its natural state, Castform is small, gray and resembles a cloud.
