The history of the present territory of Somalia

The opposition group was divided in 1991 for various reasons, including the traditional enmity between different clans and ethnic groups, the Somali Patriotic Movement (MPS) in the south and the Somali National Movement (MNS) in the north. Furthermore, the group United Somali Congress (CUS) took the capital, causing the departure of President Barre.
